Box Office Analysis, Aug. 1: Director M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller The Village ended The Bourne Supremacy’s reign at the box office this weekend with a chilling take of $50.8 million.

Matt Damon's The Bourne Supremacy easily stole the top spot from last week's champ I, Robot, debuting with a hefty $54.5 million, while the Will Smith sci-fi actioner had to settle for second with $22 million.
