Moviegoers were in the mood for a little comedy this weekend.Trumping the horror genre, the slapstick comedy The Pink Panther--with Steve Martin bringing Inspector Jacques Clouseau back to life--opened on top at the North American box office with $21.7 million, barely beating the gory sequel Final Destination 3, which debuted in second with $20.1 million.

Firewall is a virus of a film. With poor direction, frosty performances and a Catwoman-bad script, its a lumpy, big-studio mess that will probably be considered one of 2006’s 10 worst.
