Back when Sucker Punch was first announced, director Zack Snyder promised a sprawling action fantasy that would essentially be “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns.” I wasn’t quite sure what that meant at the time, but after seeing the explosive San Diego Comic Con footage earlier this year, I got the picture. Now, with the release of the full length trailer for the film it’s quite clear that Snyder, who also co-wrote and produced the movie, is taking us down the twisted tunnels of his artful mind with Sucker Punch.
Starring Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone and Vanessa Hudgens as mental patient-prisoners determined to shoot their way out of confinement, the trailer teases a wide range of environments and enemies to conquer.
