Vin Diesel has welcomed Paul Walker’s lookalike brother to the set of Fast & Furious 9, insisting he’s always making the late star proud.
Cody and his sibling Caleb Walker stepped in to help their brother’s castmates complete Furious 7 following Paul’s car crash death in 2013, and now there is speculation that Paul’s character Brian may be making another appearance in the latest episode of the franchise.
Diesel, who is the film’s star and a producer, shared a black and white photo of himself and Cody from behind on Instagram over the weekend, captioning it: “There is something special that happens every time Cody comes to visit production… Always making Pablo proud!”
Pablo was Vin’s nickname for his late pal, who played Brian O’Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise.
The current cast includes Fast favorites Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson, as well as wrestling superstar John Cena. The ninth film in the franchise is scheduled to hit theatres in May 2020.
