Drugs can be a hell of a thing.
In real life, we see all the times how drugs have overtaken a person, and in the worst situations, death is the only way out. ‘Synchronic’ takes that one step further.
The film had its premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival (see more images from 2019 TIFF) and was picked up by Well Go USA Entertainment.
Two paramedics Dennis (Jamie Dornan) and Steve (Anthony Mackie) go out to an emergency where a woman is just dazed. All the signs point to a drug overdose, but one the two haven’t seen before. After Steve gets some bad medical news, his life is kind of in shambles, and he has questions. He finds the drug, takes it, and that’s where this movie starts getting interesting. He’s convinced he’s traveling to different worlds.
