‘One Shot’ and ‘Ninja Turtles’ Get Release Dates; ‘World War Z’ Pushed Back

Paramount issued a major update to its release schedule today, with two high-profile projects getting release dates and another being pushed back a half-year.

One Shot, an adaptation of the Lee Child bestseller directed by Christopher McQuarrie and starring Tom Cruise, has been scheduled to open near the close of 2012, in the “holiday slot” that proved quite lucrative for Paramount’s Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, meanwhile, is now set for Christmas of 2013. 7826752.jpgThe CGI/live-action hybrid, directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans), is the fifth theatrical release to feature the talking reptile quartet and the second attempt at a reboot (the last was 2007’s ill-fated TMNT).

Lastly, according to Deadline.com, Brad Pitt‘s zombie epic World War Z has been pushed back to “middle of summer 2013.” The film had been slated to open December 21 of this year.
