Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson is also working on a new Three Musketeers movie — his project will be a 3-D version of the Alexandre Dumas novel.

Meanwhile, the origins of the tale have come under scrutiny in recent days after Dumas expert Claude Schopp came forward with claims that the popular novel was largely written by Dumas’ assistant.

The scholar alleges that Auguste Jules Maquet came up with the plot for the historical tale.
