Chadwick Boseman’s protective father got a little concerned and disrupted one of his film shoots during an on set visit.

The actor is currently gearing up to promote his role as the title character in Marvel Studios’ upcoming blockbuster Black Panther, having previously appeared in films such as Get on Up and Draft Day.
While Chadwick likes to give his mum Carolyn and father Leroy tours of the productions he’s working on, he was extra cautious about allowing them to visit the Black Panther set after his dad’s visit to the set of Jackie Robinson biopic, 42, back in 2014.

“When we were shooting 42, it was a scene we were doing, I was still at home and I had to jump over the catcher and slide, and we did it like 15 times,” he said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night (21Jun17). “And (dad’s) sitting right beside the director (and) he’s fuming. He’s like, ‘You can’t do that no more, you can’t do that, you’re going to be hurting your body!'”
Chadwick added that his father became so upset during the scene, that director Brian Helgeland eventually had to intervene.

Brian Helgeland comes over and says, ‘I think we’re done, your dad said we can’t do anymore,'” the star laughed.

Meanwhile, host Jimmy also grilled Chadwick, 40, about the plot details of both Black Panther and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. But the actor remained tight-lipped on the storylines, sharing that even he isn’t privy to all that goes on inside of film sets.

“I don’t see everybody, I don’t deal with every character. It’s so secret, we don’t see every part,” he explained, adding that he couldn’t confirm if he was shooting one or two Avengers films. “You know, they’re like the CIA. So I’ve gotta say I’m shooting one,” he smiled.

Black Panther is slated to hit theaters in early 2018.
