A documentary feature film about singer Dionne Warwick is in the works.

Don’t Make Me Over will provide a “glimpse into the life of one of the most famous, yet notoriously private, superstars of the last 60 years.” The project will be co-directed and co-produced by Dave Wooley and David Heilbroner. Wooley is writing the film.

The documentary will feature interviews with former President Bill Clinton, Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Clive Davis, Gladys Knight, Cissy Houston, and Smokey Robinson. It will be set to her music including songs Walk on By, I Say a Little Prayer, and Don’t Make Me Over.

“While the world knows her many hits, Dionne has quietly guarded her astonishing, inspiring personal journey,” Heilbroner says. “We are both honored and thrilled to bring this great artist’s life and legacy to the screen.”

“This has been a passion project of mine,” Wooley adds. “I’m elated to see it become a reality.”
The project will be previewed at the Cannes Film Festival next month (Apr17).
