Kevin Feige keen to recruit Keanu Reeves for future Marvel role

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige is constantly holding talks with Keanu Reeves in a bid to find him the perfect role in the superhero world.

The producer, who is behind the hugely successful Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), reveals the John Wick star is one of the actors constantly at the top of his wish list for the franchise, so they are always reaching out to Reeves to discuss potential movie ideas.

“We talk to him for almost every film we make,” Feige told ComicBook.com.

“I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”

The situation is similar to one Feige previously had with Jake Gyllenhaal, who he engaged with “multiple times” about possible roles before the Nightcrawler star was cast as Quentin Beck/Mysterio in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Feige’s comments about Reeves emerge amid rumors linking him to Marvel’s The Eternals adaptation, which is expected to star Angelina Jolie as a near-immortal being.

Former Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden, and The Big Sick’s Kumail Nanjiani are also attached to director Chloe Zhao’s adventure movie, which will be based on Jack Kirby’s comic book of the same name.
