Milo Ventimiglia: ‘I understand why I was too old for new Batman’

Milo Ventimiglia refuses to be bitter about missing out on playing Batman because he thinks director Matt Reeves has the right guy in Robert Pattinson.

Last week, the This Is Us star revealed he was up for the role of Bruce Wayne and his brooding alter ego but studio executives made it clear that, at 42, he was too old to play the Caped Crusader in the new movie.

Instead, Pattinson, 33, landed the part – and Milo now wants to make it clear he understands why film bosses picked another guy.

“Listen, I’m a fan of Batman in general and I know that they were looking for an actor that they can mature with as well,” he tells Entertainment Tonight. “Robert Pattinson is a great actor. I’m very excited to see those movies.”
