Actor and TV personality Terry Crews has urged film bosses at Disney to cast him as King Triton in the upcoming The Little Mermaid revamp.
The Expendables star believes he would be perfect for the royal role in the live-action remake of the animated hit, and he took to Twitter on Saturday (July 6, 2019) to share a photoshopped picture of himself as the underwater ruler.
“Ariel’s Dad!!!!” the America’s Got Talent host captioned the picture, referring to the film’s heroine, Ariel.
He’s not the only star fighting for a role in the film – singer Lizzo is so committed to playing sea witch Ursula in the movie, she posted footage of herself dressed up as the octopus.
Last week it was announced that Halle Bailey will be playing Ariel in the remake, while Awkwafina and Jacob Tremblay are also in talks to play seagull character Scuttle and tropical fish Flounder, respectively.
