Angela Bassett will reprise her role as Erika Sloane in the forthcoming Mission: Impossible 7.
The star, 62, tells website ComingSoon.net she’ll star as the Director of the CIA. alongside Tom Cruise once again, after first appearing in 2018′s Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
“The real conversation is when, I think they’ve begun filming, or that was the plan, but you know in these trying times, the best laid plans of mice and men sometimes go awry,” Angela explains.
She adds that she does “have the pages, we’ll just see when I get the ticket to fly and go do my part, but that’s coming up and I’m really excited about it.”
Mission: Impossible 7 will star Tom, as well as Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, and Simon Pegg – all four of whom are currently filming in Venice, Italy.
The movie currently has a November 2021 release date.
