Brad Thor’s Novels Picked Up By Warner Brothers

Brad Thor

Guys, Brad Thor is a serious writer and he wants you to know that. Serious writer, got it? Just check out the guy’s website. Do you think some sort of fake writer would have the skyline of Washington DC behind him? Do you think a weak writer could pull off an all black ensemble like this and have this icy stare? No. They can’t. If Ernest Hemingway had a website, this is totally what it would look like. And if Ernest Hemingway had a series of novels about an ex-Navy SEAL who goes and does spy stuff, you better believe it would’ve been picked up by Warner Brothers too.

So yeah, Brad Thor’s series of novels revolving around Scot Harvath, an ex-Navy SEAL who is now a secret service agent. The Lions of Lucerne is the origin story and it will be the first to be adapted. They’re hoping for a Jack Ryan level of success with this franchise and yeah, best of luck to them. I mean, I guess spies are cool, but come on, when you get it right you just can’t repeat it again. And they got it right with James Bond. We Americans just have to take a seat back in the spy movie game.

Also, Brad Thor? That’s like the most awesome and average name ever. I’M THOR! Which Thor? Oh, um, Brad Thor. If you have a last name as awesome as THOR you have to punch it up in the first name department. Like Hammer, (the rest of these names come from some viking database I googled) Aslak, Engli, Freystein, Gamal, Gorm, Lifstæn, Orøkia, Skallagrim, Svart, Vott or Sam.
