In ‘Cold Comes the Night,’ Bryan Cranston Is Basically the Russian Heisenberg

Breaking Bad is almost at its end, but apparently Bryan Cranston wasn’t ready to give up playing an evil criminal just yet. In his new thriller, Cold Comes the Night, he plays a Russian who comes looking for money a dead woman leaves behind. He doesn’t have his Heisenberg hat, but he does wear a pair of large dark sunglasses because, according to IMDb, he’s nearly blind.

Alice Eve also stars in the film as a single mother who’s trying to look after her daughter the best she can. She works, and lives, in a motel, and she’s the one who finds the money on the dead woman. But if I were Eve, I wouldn’t get on Cranston’s bad side. He is the one who knocks, after all.

Sony is distributing the film worldwide, but there’s no American release date yet. Cold Comes the Night  opens in the UK on September 20.
