‘Hesher’ & ‘Warrior’ Trailers Debut

Let’s talk about what it means to be a man in a movie. Too often these days, our male figures in movies are whiny, self-possessed introverts (in other words: pussies). Remember when men used to be men? Grrr, I miss those days. Granted, I know there is a time and place for compassion, introversion, feelings and self restraint. But other times it’s just fun to let go. Luckily we have two movies coming out that seem to redeem the past decade of neutered male role models and embrace testosterone in all its glory.

First we have Warrior, starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as two brothers who join an MMA tourney and (spoiler) eventually end up having to face each other. That basically sums up, quite possibly, the first 80% of the movie so watch at your discretion. Either way, it’s good to see men do what they do best: beat the shit out of each other.
