If there’s one lesson to be learned from the Kick-Ass movies it’s that confidence is a purple wig. That’s the message of the new international trailer for Kick-Ass 2, anyway, as Chloë Grace Moretz‘s Hit-Girl tries to be all normal and do high-schooly things like try out for the cheerleader squad. Having to perform a dance or whatever seems to be freaking her out, so she imagines herself in Spandex and wig…and boom! It’s a bravado explosion.

The new trailer shows once again that this franchise is entirely about Hit-Girl. Aaron Taylor-Johnson‘s title character only has one line! Check it out:
That’s pretty scrubbed-clean compared to the red-band clip released a couple weeks ago. If a Kick-Ass trailer doesn’t feature two Sleigh Bells songs and Moretz shouting “Game on, c***suckers!” can it really be called a Kick-Ass trailer? And why so parsimonious with Christopher Mintz-Plasse‘s new villain The Motherf***er? And why does every actor in this franchise have three names?
