Lindsay Lohan is signed on to star in the upcoming thriller The Canyons alongside James Deen following a successful Kickstarter campaign for funding.
The Canyons author and screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho) tweeted the casting news yesterday.
“Shooting The Canyons starring James Deen and Lindsay Lohan: July 9-31 in L.A.,” Easton Ellis said. “Could not have dreamed of a better cast. Lindsay nailed it…” The film has been previously described as a thriller about “youth, glamour, sex and Los Angeles”, directed by Paul Schrader.
This movie will be a far cry from Lohan’s former days as a child star – her role as “Tara” calls for full-frontal nudity, and her costar James Deen is an acclaimed porn star, having appeared in nearly 1,000 pornographic films in the last decade.
The Canyons will shoot in July in Los Angeles. In the meantime, Lohan is working on the made-for-TV movie “Liz & Dick,” based on Elizabeth Taylor’s affair with actor Richard Burton.
