The first Tuesday following Christmas is typically a vacant retail day for movies. Studios know that shoppers aren’t going to be inclined to drop dough after having just bought presents. Plus, those shoppers who received gift cards for Christmas are more likely to spend their credit on items they’ve been eyeballing for a while and not new releases. It’s just good business to wait another week or two before putting out high profile titles.
So, it’s a pretty slim week for Blu-rays, but there’s still one outstanding release for the week that should command your attention and it’s right at the top of today’s list.
