The five nominees were whittled down from a host of aspiring stars by a panel including Cate Blanchett and Sir Alan Parker, with the winner set to be announced at the London award ceremony next month.

British Academy of Film and Television Arts chairman Duncan Kenworthy says, “The Orange Rising Star Award is a significant new award that asks the public to judge what they are uniquely placed to judge—stardom.

“This exciting award will shine an early spotlight on the talented young actors and actresses who are the future of our industry.”
