Guys, Rob Lowe is going to be in another sex tape. Wait… hold on… according to Deadline, it looks like he’s actually going to star in a movie called Sex Tape. Okay, there we go. (Although I know you all were secretly hoping another one of his sex tapes had been discovered.)
Lowe, known for his current role as health-nut Chris Traeger in Parks and Recreation and for his days trolling around with the Brat Pack, is once again poking fun at his infamous sex tape from the ’80s in the upcoming comedy. The movie, co-written and soon-to-be directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher), centers on a husband and wife, played by fellow Bad Teacher alumni Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz, who attempt to spice up their marriage by making their very own sex tape. Too bad they have to go on a manhunt to try and find the dirty tape after it somehow ends up in the hands of a highstrung CEO played by Lowe. The movie’s supporting cast will include the likes of Jack Black and Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine).
Production has yet to start, but fans of Lowe can see him in his last season of Parks and Recreation on Sept. 26 and as John F. Kennedy in the National Geographic Channel’s upcoming docudrama Killing Kennedy on Nov. 10.
