I like to think of myself as someone who can handle pain well. But this? Ryan Seacrest in New Year’s Eve? Even I don’t think I can handle that, it’s just too much. Someone stab me in the eye with a rusty nail, please. Anyone? Fine, I guess this movie is still happening.
Seacrest and Josh Duhamel are the latest stars to join the ensemble rom-com that seeks to discover how little plot they can get away with if they distract the audience with enough celebrities. So far, it seems to be working. On top of Seacrest and Duhamel, we’ve had the previously reported Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Til Schweiger, Sienna Miller, Hilary Swank and Sofia Vergara. Hoo ray mediocrity! Oh, also Ice Cube will have a part. Straight outta Compton, indeed.
