Screenwriter Leonard Schrader died of heart failure after a lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday. He was 62.
Schrader co-wrote the screenplay for Taxi Driver with his brother Paul and was Oscar-nominated for penning the Kiss of the Spider Woman screenplay in 1985.
He finished his career teaching budding screenwriters at University of Southern California and Chapman University.
