‘Twilight’ Franchise Gets the Green Light?

While fans eagerly await the Nov. 21 release of Twilight, there is already good news on the horizon. Summit Entertainment is pushing the next three story installments into development.

Summit now has the rights to the next three books in Stephenie Meyer’s popular vampire series; New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. According to Reuters, execs have assigned the first two adaptations to Twilight scribe Melissa Rosenberg, while Breaking Dawn remains unattached.

Twilight revolves around a shy teen named Bella (Kristen Stewart) who falls for her classmate Edward (Robert Pattinson) only to find out later he is a vampire.
