‘Zero Dark Thirty’: A High-Intensity Hunt for Osama Bin Laden — TRAILER

Zero Dark ThirtyOn May 1, 2011, every single person in America stopped watching the Mets, The Apprentice, and (in my case), the third episode of Game of Thrones. Instead, they flicked on the news. Even if you didn’t know what was going on, you were pretty certain, thanks to the clamor of social media, that something was going on. And soon, you’d find out: Osama bin Laden, the most wanted terrorist in the world, had been killed by American soldiers.

Just a year and three months later, the first trailer for the heavily anticipated film chronicling the takedown of the al-Qaeda ringleader, has been released. Kathryn Bigelow’s long untitled movie, officially called Zero Dark Thirty, will illustrate the mission undertaken by the Navy SEAL team that ultimately executed bin Laden.

The below trailer definitely aims for the “thriller” genre, keeping anxieties high with most of the imagery in the vein of redacted documents and battle plans, and all dialogue tensely screamed. Rest assured, Bigelow is not treating this grave story lightly. Check out the trailer below, and look out for the movie in December.
