Michael Caine is set to return to service on the big screen after signing up to play Samuel L. Jackson’s butler in a new movie. The veteran Brit, who played Bruce Wayne’s devoted sidekick in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, will play the Pulp Fiction star’s butler in a new comedy, adapted from 1960s Danish film Harry og Kammertjeneren.
In the movie, Jackson will play an alcoholic former jazz musician who discovers he has hired the services of a manservant after a night out celebrating an inheritance.
The project was initially intended as a vehicle for Sir Anthony Hopkins and Morgan Freeman.
