Pamela Anderson is taking control of her own narrative. The model and actress announced on Instagram on March 2 that she will be working with Netflix on a documentary about her life. Here is everything we know about Pamela Anderson’s upcoming documentary.
The Pamela Anderson documentary comes after the Hulu series Pam & Tommy
While the new Pam & Tommy Hulu series revolves around the aftermath of Pamela Anderson’s and Tommy Lee’s former handyman stealing and leaking their sex tape, Pam had no involvement in the show. Sources report that the showrunners and even Lily James, who plays Pam in the limited series, reached out to the Baywatch star but never got a response.
The timing of Pamela’s announcement is pretty significant, given the Hulu series dropped its last episode not long after. In the Instagram post, Pamela shares a photo of a handwritten note with the words, “Not a victim, but a survivor. Alive to tell the real story.”

What will the Pamela Anderson Netflix documentary cover?
Netflix summarizes the film as “an intimate portrait embedded in the life of Pamela Anderson as she looks back at her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps on her journey.” Viewers will gain exclusive access to the star with never-before-seen footage and personal journals.
Ryan White is set to direct, with Jessica Hargrave and Julia Nottingham as producers. Pamela’s son, Brandon Thomas Lee, will also help produce the documentary.
