He was a legend in Hollywood
Along with The Godfather, James Caan starred in several movies, including Misery, El Dorado, and the Will Ferrell holiday classic Elf. In 1973, he earned his 1st Oscar nomination for his role as fiery-tempered Sonny Corleone in The Godfather.
The late actor also received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1978.
