Character actor TONY LONGO has died, aged 53.
Longo passed away in his sleep at his home in Marina del Rey, California, his manager confirms to Deadline.com.
His large physique earned him roles as the resident tough guy in a number of films, including Splash, The Last Boy Scout, Suburban Commando and Eraser, as well as parts in Mulholland Drive, How To Lose a Guy In 10 days, Fletch, and Sixteen Candles.
Over his three-decade career, Longo had numerous guest roles in small screen hits, including Laverne & Shirley, Simon & Simon, Police Academy: The Series, Renegade, ER, Shameless and U.S. soap operas The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives.
