EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: Broadway Stars and The Rockettes Rehearse for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

This Thursday, November 23, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be rolling through New York City for the 96th year, taking a two-and-a-half mile route from the Upper West Side to Midtown Manhattan. On Tuesday night our partners at Theaterly.com were lucky enough to be invited to view Broadway’s best–and the Rockettes!–rehearsing for the T-Day Parade. As a special treat, we’re sharing some exclusive behind-the-scenes photos as New York’s most talented performers prepare for the holiday festivities.

This year’s parade features 25 balloons, including some new for 2023: Kung Fu Panda’s Po, Leo, Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece and the iconic Pillsbury Doughboy.

Watch for live performances from Pentatonix, Brandy, Bell Biv Devoe, Chicago, Jabari Banks, Jesse James Decker and–la-de-da-de-dee, la-de-da-de-da–the iconic Cher. Twenty-nine clown crews and seven performance groups, including Big Apple Circus, Cornell Bhangra, Phantom Limb Company, Tiptoe Winter Guard and everyone’s favorite, the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees will round out the stage. In the meantime … check out our sneak peak below. And Happy Thanksgiving!
