The Oscar-winner shares son Kal-El with wife Alice Kim, and the couple was keen to bring him to see his dad’s new Disney film The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
But Cage eventually decided against a family trip to the cinema – because he’s still worried Kal-El would be upset seeing his dad on the big screen.
Cage explains, “We attempted to take him. He’s only four so I thought it was better maybe not to do it this time – not because the movie is too scary for families but because it is me and I’m his daddy and I don’t want him to get confused.”
