Spanish-speaking Fox network goes to World Series

The Spanish-language sports cable network has bought the rights to the fall 2001 Major League Baseball playoffs and World Series for an undisclosed sum. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network plans to produce extensive coverage of the playoffs, including on-air graphics and audio packages to Spanish-speaking audiences. The Fox network began its association with MLB in 1996 and will hold all telecasts to league playoffs and World Series through 2006.
