Neil Patrick Harris has teased details of the highly anticipated The Matrix 4, revealing the sequel’s style has “shifted” from that of the original three films.
The 47-year-old actor has a small role in the new movie – the nature of which he’s keeping under wraps.
But in an interview on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, Neil did drop a hint about the upcoming film.
Speaking about writer-director Lana Wachowski, he said: “I think she has a great inclusive energy and her style has shifted visually from what she had done to what she is currently doing.”
While Neil was tightlipped about exactly what his role entails, he did reveal he was required to do some “ambitious” wirework – something he’s always wanted to dabble with.
“I’ve always wanted to be a lead in a big giant action movie with wires and stuff,” he smiled. “And this is not bad for me, but it’s certainly tangential and fun for me to be able to play in the sandbox a little bit.”
The new film is due out in April 2022.
