Jennifer Coolidge gave the acceptance speech of a lifetime after winning her first Emmy for her role in The White Lotus. While throwing out lines about bursting out of her dress and taking a lavender bath, the show tried to end her speech with music. With “Hit the Road Jack” playing in the background, she danced along. The audience on and off screen bursted into laughter proving she’s a great comedian at heart.
AFTER DECADES IN THE INDUSTRY WITH MOSTLY HUMP-THE-FURNITURE-ESQUE PARTS JENNIFER COOLIDGE FINALLY GOT THE ROLE OF A LIFETIME WITH THE WHITE LOTUS AND EVEN EARNED AN EMMY NOMINATION AND WIN FOR THE ROLE AND THEN THE TELEVISION ACADEMY HAD THE AUDACITY TO PLAY HER OFF. pic.twitter.com/yuiRJBbGmn

Jennifer Coolidge spending the last 10 seconds of her speech saying “wait, hold on” and then dancing to “Hit the Road Jack”? Give it another Emmy.

Beloved TV theme songs get a revamp

Host Kenan Thompson gave the audience a hip shaking performance, as he remixed popular theme songs. Shows like Friends, The Brady Bunch, Game of Thrones and Law & Order got a hip-hop remix of their own. It seems like the Emmys wanted to mix with the Grammy Awards.
Cue the #TikTok dances that will come from that Emmy’s remix of the Law & Order theme song 😂

In a little skit, Law & Order SVU‘s favorite duo Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni chased an Emmy robber through the theater. Once they captured the robber and the stolen Emmy, the two looked in each other’s eyes and almost went in for the kiss. For all Law & Order fans out there, they’ve been waiting years for a romantic moment between the 2.

To begin her speech, Ralph belted out a verse from the 1993 song “Endangered Species.” She motivated everyone who has a dream to fight for it, with the help of amazing friends, family, and colleagues.
