In the game, players take control of various vehicles armed with all sorts of deadly weapons. From machine guns to rocket launchers to flamethrowers, players had many options on how they wanted to play.

The Twisted Metal series focuses around a tournament of the same name hosted by a mysterious man called “Calypso”. The games also feature a cast of bizarre and colorful characters, each with their own unique vehicles and backstories. The series has spawned numerous sequels and spin-offs over the years, and has become a beloved part of gaming culture.

Twisted Metal Revs up for the Small Screen

A TV adaptation of Twisted Metal has been in the works for several years now, and fans have been eagerly anticipating any news about the show’s development. In March 2019, Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra spoke about the Twisted Metal franchise being in production during a presentation for investors.

 Anthony Mackie, best known for his role as Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be playing the lead role of John Doe. John is a mysterious and ruthless driver who enters the Twisted Metal tournament for his own reasons.

Undoubtedly, fans are in good hands as the talent behind the scenes is just as powerful as on screen. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick of Deadpool and Zombieland fame are directing the serie. Michael Jonathan Smith helms the writing of the script. The executive producing team includes Will Arnett, Reese, Wernick, Marc Forman, Peter Principato, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Herman Hulst

The cast also features the talent of Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church and Neve Campbell, and Will Arnett.
