Actor Pedro Pascal is set to go up against Denzel Washington in The Equalizer sequel.
The former Game of Thrones star is in talks to portray the antagonist in the follow-up to Antoine Fuqua’s 2014 action thriller, in which Denzel played former special operations agent Robert McCall.
Sony Pictures bosses first announced plans for a sequel in 2015, with both Fuqua and his leading man subsequently signing on to return – the first time Washington has ever reprised a role in his career to date.
Fuqua recently had to drop out of directing the planned Scarface remake so he could focus on completing the script for The Equalizer 2 and move it into production so it can open in theatres in September 2018, reports Variety.com.

The original The Equalizer film was based on the 1980s TV series of the same name, and despite mixed reviews, became a big hit at the box office, raking in more than $192 million worldwide.
