Check out the first two stills of Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried on the run in In Time. In this modern take on Logan’s Run, aging stops at 25 but people must pay for each extended minute of their lives, making the rich effectively immortal and leaving the poor with a ticking clock. Timberlake plays Will Salas, a poor young man who takes Seyfried hostage when he’s accused of murdering a man for his time.
In Time is directed by Andrew Niccol, who also directed the similarly-themed (and good, if heavy-handed) sci-fi drama Gattaca. The project has gone through several titles, including the difficult-to-parse I’m.Mortal. Cillian Murphy and Olivia Wilde will also star in the film. It feels weird to get excited for movie with Justin Timberlake as a romantic lead, but what can I say, the concept sounds interesting and the supporting cast is promising. And Niccol is the man who introduced the world to Jude Law, so the guy can pick his attractive young hunks.
The first trailer for In Time is set to premiere at Comic Con tomorrow, and we’ll post it as soon as it’s available, and will hit theaters on October 28.
