Taylor Swift set to take Sundance Film Festival by storm to promote her Netflix documentary

Taylor Swift will help launch the 2020 Sundance Film Festival in Utah on Thursday night (January 23, 2020) by attending the world premiere of her Miss Americana documentary.

Reports suggest the singer is heading to Park City for the screening at the Eccles Theatre, and Deadline sources claim she will join director Lana Wilson for a short question-and-answer session after the film.

It’s not Swift’s first time at the festival – she visited in 2012 to help promote Rory Kennedy’s documentary Ethel, for which she provided a song.

Miss Americana has six screenings set for Sundance before its release on Netflix next week (January 31, 2020).

In a teaser trailer released earlier this week, Taylor reveals, “I need to be on the right side of history,” and adds she is tired of playing the “nice girl” for others, staying away from politics and controversial issues.

“I feel really good about not feeling muzzled anymore,” she tells the cameras.
