Wednesday Daily Box Office Rally
First Place – Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg‘s comedy The Other Guys held strong in first place yesterday, earning another $3.77 million to nearly break the $50 million mark, which it will surely pass today. The Adam McKay comedy is currently showing in some 3,651 theaters and was Ferrell’s second highest grossing opening of his career.
Second Place – Christopher Nolan‘s Inception once again remained in second place Wednesday, grossing another $2.22 million for a whopping $235 million total since its opening almost a month ago.
Third Place – The 3D dance pic Step Up 3D continued to hold off Despicable Me to keep its 3rd place slot on Wednesday, taking in just over $1.5 million for a cumulative gross of some $21.5 million since its Friday opening.
