When a San Francisco man discovers the ghost of a woman hiding in his closet, the two begin a passionate affair, despite the fact that the woman’s body lies comatose in a hospital across town. When the woman’s spirit returns to her body and she regains consciousness, she remembers nothing of their involvement, and the man must start from the beginning to win her affections.
