Project Hail Mary Trailer

The Project Hail Mary trailer just dropped, and honestly, it looks pretty damn epic. Ryan Gosling plays Ryland Grace, who just, you know, casually has to save the world. Check out the film’s first trailer below.

Plot & Cast

The official synopsis of Project Hail Mary reads: “Science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.”

Cast: In addition to Ryan Gosling, the cast also includes stars like Sandra Hüller, Ken Leung, and Liz Kingsman.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are producers and directors of the film (creators of the animated Spider-Verse franchise). The Project Hail Mary novel was adapted by Drew Goodard (The Martian).

The film could be another massive sci-fi hit, or maybe just another wannabe. Either way, we can’t wait to see how it all comes together.

Release Date

Project Hail Mary arrives in theaters in March 2026.
