Broadway stars team up for Taylor Swift/Waitress mash-up

Marty Thomas, the Broadway star who once won America’s Junior Star Search talent show over a young Britney Spears, is releasing a stunning new mash-up that combines Taylor Swift and hit musical Waitress.

The singer and actor has teamed up with Rachel Potter, one of the stars of the U.S. Wicked tour, to release Lover, You Matter to Me.

The duet combines Swift’s Lover with You Matter to Me, one of the songs Sara Bareilles wrote for Waitress.

The track was recorded in New York, just before the city’s coronavirus lockdown.
