Kanye West tops Billboard’s albums of the decade list

Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy has been named the album of the decade by Billboard editors and writers.

The 2010 release has beaten Beyonce’s Lemonade to the top of the 100 Greatest Albums of the 2010s countdown, released on Tuesday (November 19, 2019), while Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange from 2012 comes in third.

Taylor Swift’s Red and Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly round out the top five, while Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour, Rihanna’s Anti, Thank U Next by Ariana Grande, Robyn’s Body Talk and 21 by Adele make the top 10.

Lamar is the only artist to land three albums in the top 50, while Kanye and Swift have three mentions on the full list. Drake, Frank Ocean, and Grande also snag two albums in the top 50.
