Kevin Bacon and Wendi Mclendon-Covey are oddsmakers’ favorites to play Tiger King rivals Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin in a film adaptation of the smash-hit Netflix docuseries.
Bookies at SportsBetting.ag have named the A-listers they think gamblers should be risking a flutter on when it comes to casting the inevitable movie based on the stunning true-crime tale.
And Footloose star Bacon has topped their list of actors who they think could pull off the outrageous Joe Exotic.
Ed Norton, Billy Bob Thornton and Joe Dirt star David Spade are also on the betting sheet, as is Ben Stiller, while McLendon-Covey leads a casting list for Carole that also features Allison Janney, Kristen Wiig, Jennifer Coolidge, and Laura Dern.
Meanwhile, John Finlay – Joe Exotic’s ex-husband, who appears in Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness – wants Channing Tatum to portray him in a film version.
“He has a good presence,” Finlay tells Entertainment Tonight.
Wiig’s former Saturday Night Live castmate Kate McKinnon will portray Baskin in an upcoming TV series based on a true-crime podcast chronicling the zoo boss’ role in a murder-for-hire plot.
