Billy Murray wins speeding case

Veteran British actor Billy Murray has won a court battle after he was found not guilty of a speeding charge. The Bill star was accused of driving a van, which he uses as part of his car restoration business, at 51 miles (82 kilometres) per hour in a 40 miles (64 kilometres) per hour zone.
He denied the charge, claiming he was not behind the wheel at the time, and he was found not guilty after the case went to court in Chelmsford, England on Thursday (05Dec13).
Murray, 71, was also cleared of a charge of failing to name the van’s driver.
After the verdict was announced, the delighted actor told the court, “Thank you and have a merry Christmas.”
