Kanye West and Kim Kardashian lobby Trump to free A$AP Rocky – report

Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West have reportedly spoken to U.S. President Donald Trump about A$Ap Rocky’s incarceration in Sweden.

The President’s team is now reportedly working to free the rapper after police in Stockholm apprehended and detained him following a street fight while prosecutors determine if the rapper should be charged with aggravated assault.

He has been behind bars for almost three weeks as authorities continue to investigate the incident that led to his arrest, and his lawyer claims he is being kept in “inhumane conditions”.

According to editors at TMZ, after learning about Rocky’s predicament Kanye asked Kim to speak to Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, with whom Kim has worked with in relation to her work with freeing incarcerated American prisoners.

Sources told the news outlet that Kim filled Jared in on Rocky’s predicament and Jared then briefed Trump, who allegedly told his son-in-law he believed Rocky was being held unfairly and wanted to help.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has since got involved and assigned members of his team to Rocky’s case in a bid to help the incarcerated rapper.

A State Department member is scheduled to arrive in Sweden on Thursday (July 18, 2019) reports the news outlet and representatives of the department have urged the country’s authorities to treat him with “respect”. Swedish officials have denied the musician has been treated badly.
