Disgraced sportsman and actor O.J. Simpson could be a free man again by Halloween (Oct17).

The 69-year-old is serving a nine-to-33-year sentence for his part in a 2007 Las Vegas sports memorabilia armed robbery and kidnapping incident, but a hearing in July (17) could set him free.
Simpson and his associates were charged with taking pieces of the former football star’s memorabilia from dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley after holding the men at gunpoint in a Nevada hotel room.

O.J. has always maintained he had no idea the men with him were armed, but he was convicted on charges including kidnapping, armed robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Simpson has reportedly scored low (in risk assessment) in previous parole hearings, according to CNN, making him a candidate for early release from Lovelock Correctional Facility this year – something that irks Fred Goldman, who still believes O.J. is responsible for his son Ron’s death.

The star was sensationally acquitted of the murders of his wife Nicole and her friend Goldman in 1995 following what was dubbed The Trial of the Century.

“Simpson has proven over and over again, throughout his life, he has absolutely no concern for the law or authority,” Fred Goldman told CNN upon learning O.J. could be released from prison later this year.
