Regina Hall missed out on convent life by a year

Actress Regina Hall missed out on becoming a nun at 40, because she was too old and had chalked up too many sexual partners. The Best Man star reveals she decided to turn her back on men after a bad break-up four years ago and opted to follow God, but discovered she wasn’t young or pure enough to enter the convent she had set her sights on.
Hall explains, “I attempted to become a nun… I walked in to join a convent… I wanted to be a nun when I was 14.
“They have a cut-off age; they cut off at 39 and I was 40. If I had passed that number test and I had passed the other number test, then yes (I would have joined)… I didn’t get to the other part (sexual partners).
“The number is… it has to be four or less!”
Four years later and Hall is now in a committed relationship again – or at least she thinks she is.
The actress tells U.S. chat show host Conan O’Brien, “I’m dating someone… I thought we were (in a relationship) and then when we talked about it we didn’t get clarity… I said, ‘You know what, let’s just be happy… I’m happy with you exclusively and you’re happy with me exclusively’ – because you don’t want them planting everywhere.”
