Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen’s Southern restaurant a hit with Arkansas locals

Hollywood couple Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen’s Southern eatery in Little Rock, Arkansas has officially been deemed a success after earning the title of Best New Restaurant from locals. The actors joined forces with Steenburgen’s niece, Amy Bell, and her chef husband Matthew Bell to open South on Main in September (13), and they have already won over residents in the city after topping a recent newspaper survey.
Gushing about the new venture, The Help actress says, “We’re so proud… We opened a restaurant called South on Maine and we just won the Arkansas Times readers’ poll of Best Chef and Best New Restaurant.”
Danson and Steenburgen aren’t the first celebrity restaurateurs – Robert De Niro, Quentin Tarantino, Justin Timberlake, Jay Z and Eva Longoria are just some of the stars who have entered into the hospitality industry over the years.
