Ziyi Zhang tapped as Cle de Peau Beaute brand ambassador

Memoirs Of A Geisha actress Ziyi Zhang is the latest Cle De Peau Beaute global brand ambassador.

The 39-year-old star follows in the footsteps of Amanda Seyfried and Felicity Jones as being the face of the luxury skincare and make-up company.

Her first campaign drops this fall (18) and she’ll be showing off the multi-benefit cream, La Creme, which retails for $535.

And as well as posing in the print adverts, Ziyi will also narrate the commercial.

“Her beauty, warmth, and generosity bring radiance to the world around her. Zhang Ziyi perfectly embodies the values of Cle de Peau Beaute because of her spirit and timeless elegance,” Yukari Suzuki, chief brand officer of the Japanese brand, said in a statement.

A representative for parent company Shiseido called the new campaign “expressive, lyrical and full of light”.

While Jenny Sun, brand director of Cle de Peau Beaute China, said the collaboration would “elevate the awareness and aspirational status of Cle de Peau Beaute in the China market”.

The Chinese actress, who became a global star after starring in Oscar-winning 2000 movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, has previously fronted campaigns for Maybelline, Garnier and Omega.

Her next film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which co-stars Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga and Sally Hawkins, hits cinemas in May 2019, and Ziyi has already signed on to star in the sequel, Godzilla vs. Kong.
